  •  Installation of the Thermal Xtra Board must adhere to the guidelines outlined in AS/NZS 5601 PART 1. Following these standards ensures a safe and proper installation process. 
  •  It is crucial to note that the TXB should not be used to support any load. 
  • Use a sharp knife for cutting to minimize dust generation.
  • Always wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while cutting to ensure safety.
  • General dry board installation methods are suitable for the TXB. 
  • Ensure that the installation area is dry and free from moisture to maintain the board's integrity. 
  • Consider using construction adhesive during installation.
  •  If fasteners (screws, nails, etc.) are used, exercise caution during the fixing process to prevent damage or breakage of the board. Fasteners should be applied with care to ensure a secure installation without compromising the structural integrity of the TXB.


Yes, we are providing a Fire Resistant Board Statement confirming that the Thermal Xtra Board (TXB) comply with the requirements of AS/NZS 5601.1, Appendix C


Yes, Thermal Xtra Board has been tested by CSIRO / AWTA and complies with the requirements of AS 1530.1: 1994 and AS/NZS 1530.3: (1999 ) TEST STANDARDS OF AS/NZS 5601:1 :2013 Appendix C as set by Energy Safe Victoria  


Use a fire-resistant board- Thermal Xtra Board, which complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 5601.1 Appendix C as the base, then apply an outer layer of ceramic tiles or stainless steel.



Yes, Thermal Board Australia offers delivery services for all orders. Delivery fees may vary based on the size and distance of the delivery.


Thermal Board Australia is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.


Yes, Fire resistance TXB Boards has been approved by ESV for use in commercial kitchens as a fire resistant material to protect the walls  behind commercial catering equipment.
